”Building a home can be a challenging journey. My wife and I are very thankful we chose EDK and Elmer Dixon to build our dream home. We had a pretty good plan before engaging Elmer. Our daughter who does architectural home design had spent many hours with us getting the layout just right. From there, Elmer picked up the ball and in just over 8 months made our dream home a reality.
There were challenges in building a home in the months following Covid. Many construction items were in short supply. Elmer was aware of the long lead times and strongly encouraged us to visit vendors and select items expeditiously. Thankfully Elmer’s push to nail down selections early resulted in timely arrival of critical path items to the job site. Elmer was also on top of his subcontractors insuring they came and completed their jobs in a timely manner. These were major factors in completing construction on a large home not on schedule, but three weeks ahead of the target date.
The result is a home that shows great craftsmanship in all areas. This is our sixth home and is the best in both construction and finish detail. Elmer is uncompromising in his pursuit of quality, and it shows throughout the home. We are very blessed to have had him lead this effort.
In the end we affirm this truth: We do not desire to go through construction of a new home anytime soon, but if we did, there is certainty we would select EDK and Elmer Dixon to lead the way. In all aspects they showed strong dedication to their clients and a pursuit of excellence in their craft.
